These terms explain how you may use shenzhen-beach.com, the independent Shenzhen beach guide operated by the Shenzhen Beaches team. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please leave the site.

Using the Guides

The site is free for personal, non-commercial use: reading the guides, printing a beach page for your trip, saving our cheat sheet, and sharing links to any page. No account, booking form, or payment is required on this site — we never sell tickets, tours, or accommodation.

Accuracy of Travel Information

Entrance fees, transport routes, ferry timetables, reservation rules, and beach opening status change often, sometimes at short notice and sometimes because of weather or typhoon warnings. Every page states when we last checked it by hand, and we update pages whenever a route or fee changes. Before you travel, confirm the details that matter to you with the operators named on the page — Shenzhen Metro for rail, the Shenzhen Ecology Bureau for swimming-grade water reports, and the National Immigration Administration for entry rules.

Safety

Swimming at any beach is at your own risk. Our notes on patrols, lifeguard hours, and rip currents describe what we observed on our visits; they are not a substitute for the flags, signage, and instructions on the sand on the day you visit. Unpatrolled beaches listed on this site are marked as such so you can plan accordingly.

Our Text and Photographs

The writing and photography on this site are our own work, made on location. You may quote a short extract — up to about 100 words — with a visible link back to the original page, which is the credit we ask for and the reason we publish. Republishing whole pages, copying the photo library, or using our content to train or supply another commercial service needs written permission first; write to us through the contact page and we will answer quickly.

We link to official operators, government bureaus, and map or video providers because their information is better than ours. Those sites are independent: once you click through, their own terms and privacy policies apply.
